These shots are of the car as we were unloading it at our shop. Apparently we hit a loose spot on the track at the 1/8 mile causing an abrupt turn to the right, while correcting the right rear kissed the wall and sent the car across the track in the other lane hitting it almost front on direct. While sliding sideways at over 125 mph the car crossed the finishline in the opposing lane backwards and spinning 360 with an ET of 9.39 at 92 mph and came to a stop with the front end facing down track back into our original lane. This occured during the third round of qualifying, fortunately Brian Cobbett aborted his run early and was able to quickly stop before hitting our car. The majority of the damage was to the front chassis from the firewall forward and not sure if it is repairable. However we are confident in the right hands of a professional shop such as Darryl Smith Race Cars we will be back with a perfect car.
